Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED  Traditional Classroom:

The Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants (depending on the age group you select). It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

Blended-Learning:

The Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants (depending on the age group you select).. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Basic Life Support

Blended-Learning:

The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR for Healthcare Providers course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult child and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of the course learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course students should talk with their employer about their workplace’s specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year. Can be added upon request to any CPR/BLS or related certification for $25 (HSI)-$40 (Red Cross). Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers & First Aid

Blended-Learning:

The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years.

Prerequisites:

1. Minimum age: 15 years;

2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both.

3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

To enroll in the Lifeguarding course, you must be at least 15 years old before the last scheduled class session. To participate in the course, you must be able to pass a prerequisite swimming skills evaluation, which includes two parts and takes place during the first in-person session

Lifeguarding INSTRUCTOR

Blended-Learning:

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program.

Course Prerequisites:

- Be at least 17 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the Lifeguarding Instructor course.

- Possess a current basic-level certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.

- Obtain instructor and participant course materials before starting the course.

- Successfully complete the online session of the Lifeguarding Instructor course prior to the pre-course session.

- Successfully complete the prerequisite skill assessment scenario to continue in the course.

• The prerequisite skill assessment scenario evaluates the following skills:
• Entry
• Swimming approach
• Surface dive in deep water (7 to 10 feet)
• Passive submerged rescue
• Rapid extrication (with an assisting rescuer)
• Rapid assessment
• Single-rescuer CPR (3 minutes)

First Aid/CPR/AED INSTRUCTOR

Blended-Learning:

This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course you must possess a current basic-level Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content a skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. We just ask that you email us first to ensure we have the space and equipment in your preferred class available prior to your attendance.
